Never count Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles out.

As a second-year player, he made the Pro Bowl while posting the third-highest passer rating in NFL history, and then, as a seemingly washed up retread, led the Philadelphia Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl victory in 2017.

A former third-round pick, Foles was finally rewarded this offseason when he signed a lucrative contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, he'll be looking to add more accolades to his resume.

In an article on Bleacher Report, Foles was floated out as a dark-horse MVP candidate. Here's a portion of what B/R had to say.

“The Arizona product hasn't been consistent, but he's got a hell of a resume and a reputation for killing it in clutch moments. And now, at the age of 30, he's finally the undisputed No. 1 quarterback from the get-go.

His new team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, is loaded with talent and just 16 months removed from the AFC Championship Game.

So if it all comes together for Foles in Jacksonville in 2019, an MVP run can't be ruled out for a dude who has already proved himself as a Super Bowl MVP.”

Foles' next challenge is to prove he can be the player to get this Jags team over the hump. The Jaguars still boast a stout defense with players like corners Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, as well as linebacker Myles Jack leading the way. Leonard Fournette and a host of young receivers highlight the offense.

A ready-made team to win, can Foles get this team where Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler couldn't? We will find out in the near future.
