The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new quarterback, and, as a result, they have a new playbook with it. Nick Foles arrived on the scene earlier this offseason, so the Jaguars will have some new wrinkles in their offense in 2019.

Foles says there is a lot to learn, but notes that everyone seems to be doing well with it:

“There’s obviously a lot of new stuff, but we’ve been able to go through the install a few times and Flip [John DeFilippo] does a great job of describing it,” said Foles, according to John Oehser of the Jaguars' official team website. “[Quarterbacks coach] Scott [Milanovich] does a great job in the QB room of really going into more details on the plays. Guys are doing a good job of picking up the installation. We still have a ways to go. I still have a ways to go. There’s still so much for me to learn.”

The former Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller also hinted at the running backs being heavily involved in the passing game, saying that “backs are going to catch a lot of balls.”

Foles spent the last two seasons as Carson Wentz's backup in Philadelphia, but because of second-half injuries to Wentz both years, Foles ended up taking over late in both seasons, and during the 2017-18 campaign, he even led the Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl title.

The 30-year-old had two separate stints in Philly, playing the first three years of his career there before splitting a two-year detour with the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs before returning to the Eagles in 2017.
