The Jacksonville Jaguars officially clinched a playoff berth with their dominant 45-7 win over the Houston Texans. Once again, they were led by another stellar outing from quarterback Blake Bortles, who finished with 326 yards and three touchdowns. Jadeveon Clowney doesn't seem to care.

Not everyone was impressed with what may have been the best game of Bortles' career. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney had some harsh words for the fourth-year quarterback:

It is safe to assume Clowney's comments were a result of the frustrating afternoon the Texans had just previously endured. However, he is not the first to undermine the progress Bortles has taken this year after the comments made by Seattle Seahawks star safety Earl Thomas in Week 14.

Contrary to what his numbers may suggest, the former No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft is now in the midst of his finest season yet. There were plenty of doubts surrounding the Jaguars quarterback situation leading up to the 2017 NFL season given Bortles fluctuating play over the last three years.

However, Jacksonville has finally gotten what they needed out of their franchise quarterback. That said, Clowney may want to focus on getting back on track with his own performance after now having gone three straight games without a sack.

All of that being said, with the playoffs quickly approaching, Jacksonville has one of the best defenses in the entire NFL, a stellar running game, and an improving quarterback.

Bortles Kombat is real!
