Is “Tebow Time” coming to Jacksonville? Multiple reports came in on Thursday detailing former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow's workout with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Tebow reached out to the Jags requesting a workout… as a tight end. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported there has been “at least some discussion” of signing him.

This appears to be quite the developing story. It might not be out of the realm of possibility, either.

The Jaguars are now led by Tim Tebow's old collegiate coach, Urban Meyer. The two had tremendous success at Florida, leading the Gators to a pair of national titles in 2006 and 2008. Is it possible Meyer takes a flier on Tebow with the hopes he could be a playmaker at the tight end position?

Tebow has had one of the strangest professional sports journeys in recent memory. The Denver Broncos selected him with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft. He mostly rode the bench for a season before leading Denver on an inspired run to the playoffs in 2011.

But there were plenty questions about Tebow's future as a quarterback. He completed just over 46 percent of his passes in the aforementioned 2011 campaign, despite going 7-4 as the starter. Eventually, these questions would essentially drive him out of the NFL.

Tim Tebow then changed careers, trying his hand at professional baseball as a minor leaguer with the New York Mets. He retired in February.

Will the 33-year-old get another chance to play in the NFL? The answer to that question is unknown, though fans shouldn't discount Tebow's relationship with Meyer.
