Urban Meyer's NFL career is off to a rough start. His Jacksonville Jaguars have lost their first four games of the season, capped by a heartbreaking collapse against the Cincinnati Bengals. Many have already doubted Meyer's ability to transition successfully to the pro league, but the Jaguars coach has one staunch believer in Tim Tebow.

Tebow, a former player of Urban in college, shared his thoughts on First Take about what he believes is Meyer's mindset after the Jaguars dropped to 0-4 to start the 2021 season.

“… He [Meyer] has a crazy determination. So while it might be hard, I think he’s going to be really determined. I think he expected to win all of those games. I think he expected [the Jaguars] to be 3-1 or 4-0… He is taking that hard. But I also think that this dude is super resolute and super determined. I think he’ll continue to tweak and mold and change and get new guys in there and adapt and do whatever it takes because he’s so determined. I don’t think he’d quit without finding a way to turn the tide a little bit.”

These are bold words coming from Tebow, who Urban tried to get into the Jags during the pre-season. Urban may be one of the most successful coaches in college football history, but he hasn't adapted well to the NFL environment. So much so that after the Jaguars' disappointing loss to the Bengals, Meyer commented that “his head was spinning.”

Well, at least the Jaguars coach seems to have found an… interesting way of coping with the losses. Hopefully for Jaguars fans, Tim Tebow's words hold true, and Meyer will eventually find a way to break through. Their next game will be against the Tennessee Titans next week, and by that point, maybe Meyer has figured out how to get his Jaguars out of this slump.
