Another training camp, another attempt for Tim Tebow to make it back to the NFL. He is trying his luck this time to make the cut as a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and while it feels like a long shot, at least Tebow is getting the opportunity to prove himself again.

Jaguars coach Urban Meyer said it's so far, so good for Tebow, who previously played for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets as a quarterback. Last May, after spending six years out of football after suiting up for the New York Mets, Tebow signed a one-year non-guaranteed deal with the Jaguars for $920,000.

Meyer shared his honest assessment of Tebow and the specific thing that could hinder his spot on the roster (via New York Post).

“He has good hands. In his drill work, he’s great, but when you get in a competitive moment, just (because of his) lack of experience he wants to body the ball. When you get to a point where two people are going after it, you have to go get the ball.”

The 33-year-old Tebow has played quarterback for most of his football career, and shifting to tight end may be too drastic of a shift, even though he's shown his athletic versatility.

The former Heisman Trophy winner is battling for a roster spot with veteran tight end James O’Shaughnessy, Chris Manhertz, and rookie Luke Farrell. So clearly, as Meyer also said, Tim Tebow has some work to do.

“(Competition is) alive and well and the reality of 90 players is that you’re going knock it down to 53. That’s reality.”

A little off-tangent: Remember when Tebowing was a thing?
