It looks like Trevor Lawrence's ankle injury is not serious and he'll be ready to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in time for their Week 10 contest with the Indianapolis Colts.

Lawrence suffered the injury on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. While he left the game, it was only for a brief moment as he returned to finish the contest. The team later revealed that he sustained a “low ankle sprain,” which is not a serious issue at all.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network further shared that Lawrence will continue to get treatment on the injury, but he should be ready to play against the Colts.

On Monday, Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer confirmed the reports and delivered some more update regarding Trevor Lawrence. The veteran tactician highlighted that their prized rookie isn't using a protective boot, which is a good sign that shows he's not bothered by the issue.

Meyer did say they will be cautious with Lawrence so as not to aggravate the injury, but he doesn't see anything stopping the young QB from suiting up come Sunday.

“Trevor’s good. I just saw him and he should be a go this week,” Meyer said during Monday's press conference, per Pro Football Talk.

Lawrence had a rough start to his career, having already thrown for eight touchdowns–albeit with nine interceptions. However, the Jaguars certainly need him to be on the field as much as possible as they try to speed up their development into legitimate playoff and title contenders.
