Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer came under fire over the weekend when a video of him at an Ohio bar in Ohio State Buckeyes gear getting a lap dance from a woman not named Shelley Meyer went viral. There were also several other pictures of him circulating with other women in which he looked quite intoxicated, with one woman claiming he was flirting with her.
Meyer spoke to the media Monday and apologized for his actions:
Jaguars coach Urban Meyer said he apologized to his team for being a distraction. Said he was at an event and people tried to get him on the dance floor and he should have left. Said he never should have put himself in that situation.

Urban Meyer's Jaguars dropped to 0-4 with a heartbreaking loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and he apparently decided to blow off some steam by getting lit in Ohio. The coach is a legend there because of what he accomplished as the head coach at Ohio State, even though his tenure ended with scandal and a resignation.
This all certainly isn't the best look for Meyer, even though this situation made for some great memes. Let's also hope that Meyer has already apologized to his wife, who was caught liking some tweets on the matter.
It has been a rocky start for Meyer in Jacksonville. In addition to this and the 0-4 record, there have been rumors out there suggesting some players and others in the organization are no fan of his coaching style. Meyer has had a ton of success at the college level, but we know that doesn't guarantee anything in the NFL. Just look at Nick Saban.
Urban Meyer shouldn't be written off yet as an NFL head coach, because it still has just been four games. But it has been just about a worst-case scenario so far, even with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback.
