It seemed like every day there was a new story coming out about Urban Meyer and the dysfunction surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars. It all came to a head on Wednesday, when former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo accused Meyer of kicking him. Late in the night, it was then reported and officially announced that Meyer was out of a job not even a full season into his tenure.

There has been plenty of reaction and fallout to the overnight firing, and now more is coming out on this Meyer debacle. It was known that the former Jaguars coach had some issues with his coaching staff, with this detail now out there after the firing:

Meyer's first head coaching job came at Bowling Green in 2001 and 2002. He then went to Utah, Florida and Ohio State before a hiatus.

This latest report is just yet another anecdote confirming how much of a disaster Meyer's short stay in Jacksonville was. Many predicted this would go south, even despite Meyer's college success, but not many could have predicted it would go this bad, this fast.

Meyer clashed with players, coaches, you name it. There was also that whole scandal involving him at an Ohio bar with some young women. It was just embarrassment after embarrassment, and that's not even mentioning just how bad the Jaguars were on the field, with Trevor Lawrence really struggling in his first season as part of a 2-11 start.

It seems Lambo's allegations were the final straw for Jaguars owner Shad Khan, and he finally pulled the plug on this experiment. Jacksonville now needs to nail this next hire so as not to ruin Lawrence.

As for Urban Meyer, he should probably just go retire to be with his family.
