Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer has been a hot name recently for a number of reasons. But, after just one game as head coach in the NFL, Meyer has apparently already garnered some heavy criticism for his coaching style. Of course, it didn't help that the Jaguars lost their opener to the Houston Texans in a game they were supposed to win easily.

The Jaguars play the Denver Broncos this weekend, and former Ohio State Buckeye and current Bronco Dre'Mont Jones said he isn't surprised that Meyer is having a tough transition, and insists that the veteran needs to change his style in the NFL, according to Troy Renck.

“Going from college to pros is always difficult no matter whether coaching or playing, especially because a lot of his philosophies are college-based. And you can’t do that with 30-plus men or even 25-plus men, who have been around the league and know what they’re doing now and been established. You got to shake things up in how you coach.”

Yeah, maybe Meyer does have to change up his style to get in touch with the NFL players, and we have seen time and time again the transition taking its toll on coaches.

If the Jaguars fall to 0-2, things could get interesting in Jacksonville, even more so after Meyer's name has been floated around as a possible head coach option for USC after the Trojans fired Clay Helton.
