Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach Urban Meyer has wasted no time in assembling his staff. After the announcement was officially made on Thursday that he was taking over the helm, Meyer quickly targeted his desired offensive coordinator.

This shouldn't come as a surprise, as Meyer and Linehan have had a long relationship with each other. Linehan previously was an assistant coach at LSU and was a head coach for the Rams. Linehan also was the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys, Dolphins, Vikings, and Lions.

It was reported over the weekend that Meyer was already reaching out to potential candidates for his assistants, although the deal with the Jaguars just got finalized on Thursday. Linehan has worked with a lot of quarterbacks in his career and Matthew Stafford's best seasons were with Linehan at the helm.

While the Jaguars hold the number one overall pick, it's almost certain they will take Trevor Lawrence, the young phenom from Clemson. If they pass on Lawrence it will be Justin Fields, and Meyer could lean that way given his familiarity with the Ohio State program.

Whichever way they go at quarterback, Linehan will have the task of grooming a young, talented prospect in an exciting era for Jacksonville.

While Linehan to the Jaguars is the first of many moves, expect Meyer to waste no time and fill out his staff sooner rather than later.
