The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to square off against the Atlanta Falcons in what is going to be a meaningless game. However, they will still want to win this as DJ Chark is likely to be able to play in this match.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported details of the news, which should make the entire Jacksonville fanbase excited about his return to the team.

He's still not being cleared to play due to his ankle, so there's still a possibility that he wouldn't be able to suit up for the team's Week 16 clash. However, it's encouraging signs for the wideout and the fans that he's well enough to be considered available for the game.

The Jaguars definitely hope that Chark will be able to play as he's blossomed into one of the more reliable wideouts for the Jacksonville offense. He's made 67 receptions for 956 yards and eight receiving touchdowns. It's a visible improvement compared to his rookie campaign, where he only covered 174 receiving yards.

One reason why fans are excited to learn of him playing again is due to the fact that he's close to having a 1000-yard season. For him to be this much of an impact player in only his second year in the NFL gives fans reasons to be excited about his future.

The man himself is appreciative of this season, per Sports Illustrated's John Shipley:

“I have never really been in a pass-heavy offense like that, so this year is pretty special,” Chark said.

“So to get to this point where I am at now, I am happy, ecstatic. That would just be the cherry on top. But whether I get it or not, it definitely doesn't take away, in my eyes, the season.”

Both teams aren't playing for the playoffs at this point, but fans should expect at least a bit of good football to come out of the two sides.
