The Jacksonville Jaguars had one high profile departure last season when Jalen Ramsey was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams. Now, Yannick Ngakoue appears to be the next name on his way out the door if his recent social media posts are any indication.

Ngakoue backed Ramsey on his Instagram story as well, saying:

“@JalenRamsey was never crazy. He knew the truth.”

Ngakoue's words are telling coming from a player still inside the organization heading into April. A long-term deal between the two sides seems untenable at this point, with the pass rusher looking to suit up in new colors heading into 2020.

Fortunately for both sides, there remains over three weeks before the NFL Draft, which could allow other franchises to offer Draft picks as capital in acquiring Ngakoue.

A stalwart of the Jacksonville defense for each of the past four seasons, Ngakoue earned his first and only Pro Bowl selection in 2017. Since the franchise selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, he has started all but two regular-season contests in that span.

Last year, Ngakoue compiled a career-high 41 tackles, adding eight sacks, six passes defended, and one interception, which was returned for a touchdown. Recently, teams have placed a premium on explosive pass-rushing talents, which could make Ngakoue a desirable commodity for those in search of an edge rusher.

Regardless, it doesn't appear that Ngakoue and Jacksonville are moving towards a reclamation point. Whether the Jaguars can flip him much like they did Ramsey remains to be seen, but as free agency roars on, Jacksonville continues to deal with internal issues of their own.
