Jalen Ramsey is set to play on Thursday night despite requesting a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Considering how many teams across the league have interest in the All-Pro cornerback, though, don't expect to see him playing for the Jaguars beyond Week 3.

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, a handful of teams – including the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and Seattle Seahawks – have made “substantive inquiries” with Jacksonville about trading for Ramsey. Nearly every team in football, however, has reportedly reached out to Jacksonville to assess its chances of landing him, too.

Ramsey asked the Jaguars to trade him following a heated sideline interaction with head coach Doug Marrone during Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. He reiterated his call to be dealt during an appearance on the 17 Weeks podcast before Thursday's game, telling Nate Burleson his qualms aren't with his teammates or the city of Jacksonville, but Jaguars managment.

“I was truly at peace, like I wasn’t in a mindset of making a decision while I was angry,” Ramsey said, per Garry Smits of The Florida Times Union. “I was completely calm. I still stand by that decision, asking for a trade. I love all my teammates but it’s [his issues are] moreso with the front office and organization. “It has nothing to do with the city … I love the city here. I’m still out with the fans, signing autographs, taking pictures.”

A two-time Pro Bowler since he was drafted in 2016, Ramsey has nine tackles and one pass defensed so far this season.
