I think we all saw this coming after Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey recently said he is only worried about himself.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Ramsey will consider holding out in order to get a massive new contract.

The 24-year-old will be entering the final year of his four-year, $23 million deal in 2019. He is set to make $3.6 million next year, but with fellow cornerback A.J. Bouye making $13.5 million alongside of him, Ramsey feels he is underpaid.

Ramsey, who played his collegiate football at Florida State University, was originally selected by the Jaguars with the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed a very impressive rookie campaign, finishing with 65 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and 14 passes defended.

Then, last year, Ramsey ascended into the ranks of one of the best defensive backs in the league, as he totaled 63 stops, four picks and 17 passes defended en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Ramsey helped lead a Jacksonville defense that was one of the best the NFL had seen in some time, with the Jaguars making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game before falling to the New England Patriots.

This season, things have been quite different for the Jags.

While Ramsey was just named to another Pro Bowl thanks to 57 tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defended, Jacksonville owns a record of just 4-10 and will miss the playoffs in spite of very high expectations.

The Jaguars have had issues all over the place this year, and now, it appears that a contract standoff with Ramsey could be the cherry on top.
