The relationship between Jalen Ramsey and Jacksonville Jaguars was already on thin ice and it isn't getting any better on Sunday. Ramsey and head coach Doug Marrone had to be separated after getting into a shouting match on the sideline against the Houston Texans.

Over the course of the offseason, Ramsey began to be very vocal on wanting a new contract from the Jaguars. Despite his request, the All-Pro cornerback was informed that he wouldn't be receiving a contract extension. Following Jacksonville's refusal to pay him, Ramsey said that he won't give the Jaguars a ‘discount' on his next contract.

In typical Ramsey-fashion, the talented cornerback showed up to training camp in a Brinks truck. Obviously, Ramsey used that as a ploy to show the team that he wanted to be paid.

Nevertheless, Ramsey is entering the fourth year of his rookie deal and is set to make $3.6 million. Additionally, Ramsey is under contract through the 2020 season; where he is due $13.7 million.

Therefore, considering the fractured relationship between the player and the franchise, he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2021. However, Jacksonville could decide to move on from the disgruntled defensive back before his contract expires.

Ramsey is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL and is only 24-years-old. With that being said, there would inevitably be teams who would express interest in acquiring him. It must be mentioned though that if another team takes him in, he is going to want a lucrative contract upon joining the team.

To the fans in Jacksonville who want Ramsey to stay, it's less than ideal to see him getting into a scuffle with Marrone.
