The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered their second consecutive loss at the hands of the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. Unfortunately, it appears they could potentially be shorthanded in the passing game with the absence of wide receiver Marqise Lee.

Lee had to be helped off the field during the third quarter of Jacksonville's 13-6 loss to New Orleans. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, he is reportedly considered week-to-week with an ankle injury:

Jaguars WR Marqise Lee has a sprained ankle that was described as minor to moderate, source said. He’s considered week-to-week, so he’ll likely miss some time.

Lee has certainly been no stranger to injury as of late. He was sidelined for the entire 2018 NFL season after tearing his ACL during the preseason. Although the injury is not deemed to be as severe, it will only serve to further delay his attempts at a comeback after mustering up just two receptions for 10 yards thus far.

Quarterback Gardner Minshew was able to lead a resurgence in the Jaguars offense, however, he struggled mightily versus the Saints defense after completing 14-of-29 passes for 163 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. While he has hardly relied on Lee during his emergence, it is safe to say he would like to have as much firepower in his receiving corps as possible in order to get back into the win column following a two-game skid.

If Lee is forced to miss any time, wide receiver Keelan Cole could have an opportunity to etch out a role in the passing game.
