LeBron James is gearing up for one of his most highly-anticipated seasons in recent memory. The Los Angeles Lakers just traded for Russell Westbrook and will be out for blood next season. But he isn't the only Ohio native preparing for a much-awaited athletic feat. Jake Paul is set to face UFC star Tyron Woodley in the fight of his life.

The Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley Pay-Per-View event is set for August 29th at Paul's hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Paul had a simple message for former Cavaliers icon LeBron James, via interview with TMZ Sports.

“Pull up, baby!” Jake Paul said to King James.

The YouTube star wants nothing more than to have Ohio royalty in LeBron James to attend his fight. The fact that it's a sporting event held in Cleveland sprinkles an added allure to the Lakers star's possible attendance.

“When I was 12, came and saw your games,” Jake Paul claimed. “I paid good money for some front row seats. I was yelling at you from the crowds.”

While it remains to be seen if LeBron James will take up Jake Paul on his offer, the fighter has invited other Ohioan athletes to attend his event live. He extended an invite to 14 Olympians hailing from his native state.

You can't blame Paul for shooting his shot at King James. We'll just have to wait and see if Cleveland, Ohio royalty in LeBron James does indeed pull up.
