During his prime, Kobe Bryant was one of the most difficult players to defend. He had a variety of ways to score on a defender and his ability to create his own shot made him a very difficult matchup.

But in Game 2 of the 2000 finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers, Jalen Rose figured out a way to stop him.

The 43-year-old current ESPN analyst admitted to purposely injuring Bryant during that game. Rose also said that he was the one who brought it up after 10 years because of guilt and out of respect to The Black Mamba.

Bryant was forced to leave that game and also missed Game 3 of the series. He returned in Game 4 and helped his team secure the championship in six games that year, which turned out to be the first of a three-peat for the Lakers.

Five-and-a-half-years later, without knowing yet that he tried to injure him on purpose, Bryant dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors, with Rose in their lineup, which many thought as his revenge on the latter.

As both players are already retired, Bryant obviously had more achievements in his career as he finished with five championships, an MVP award, and was named an All-Star 18 times, while Rose's biggest accolade in 14 years of playing was being named Most Improved Player in 2000.
