No one is higher on Thon Maker than the Milwaukee Bucks. Except maybe Jalen Rose.

The former NBA player and now ESPN analyst actually believes Maker will win the Rookie of the Year award next season.

Here's what Rose had to say about it:

Jason Kidd is going to give a lot of minutes to Thon Maker. He went No. 10. Triple-double threat. I'll say Thon Maker. Rookie of the Year — Thon Maker … by the way he's someone we were talking about before he was in vogue.”

The Bucks Twitter account was all over these comments.

Maker is an interesting prospect, if not only for the fact that no one is actually sure how old he is. He had an impressive debut in the Las Vegas Summer League, showing off his incredible length on defense and range on the other end. He isn't very polished yet, but the talent and upside are clearly there.

Maker will have to battle against Greg Monroe, Miles Plumlee, and John Henson for playing time. He will add to the Bucks' already insane length. Maybe Rose is right and Kidd will fall in love with him and give him a lot of minutes.

But Rookie of the Year? Rose is really reaching on that one.
