The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a buyout with shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who is expected to get a handful of offers, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the frontrunners for his services, according to USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick. The San Antonio Spurs were also potential bidders, but have since withdrawn after adding forward Rudy Gay to the fold.

The 17-year journeyman has spent his last five seasons with the L.A. Clippers, who are undergoing a revamping with the absence of floor general Chris Paul and the additions of Danilo Gallinari and Milos Teodosic along with the trade pieces the organization retrieved from the Houston Rockets.

Crawford has relayed a deep interest in joining the Cavaliers, who are budget-tied and have only two moves to show for during this offseason with the signing of sharpshooter Kyle Korver to a three-year deal and Jose Calderon as the back-up point guard.

The T-Wolves and Wizards are in dire need of shooting off the bench — Crawford's main area of expertise — and with more salary flexibility than the Cavs, are now expected to make considerable offers to sign him.

A three-time Sixth Man of the Year, Crawford posted his lowest scoring average since his third year in the league, averaging 12.3 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game in his last season in Los Angeles.

At 37 years old, he became the oldest player in NBA history to have played in all 82 games this past season.
