Jan Blachowicz has weighed in on the upcoming middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker in February. The former light heavyweight champion faced Adesanya back in March.

Robert Whittaker was the champion when they first fought back in October 2019. The bout was in Australia and was a huge event.

Things wouldn't go Robert Whittaker's way as Israel Adesanya found his footing early and dominated the entire fight. The New Zealand-based fighter won by TKO in the second round after dropping the champion in the first.

Jan Blachowicz took on Israel Adesanya for his first title defense after winning the title against Dominick Reyes. The Polish fighter beat Adesanya after proving to be too big and strong for the smaller man.

Jan Blachowicz was asked about the upcoming middleweight title fight and he gave his pick. The Polish fighter doesn't see the second fight being any different from the first contest.

“We will see but I think Israel wins again,” Jan Blachowicz told News Corp. “We see how first fight looks. I think it's going to be a similar way.”

The first fight was such a good performance that many have trouble seeing the contest go any other way. Both fighters have been on good runs since that fight back in 2019.

Robert Whittaker has been on a 3-0 run against top contenders. Israel Adesanya has gone on a 3-1 run himself.

Jan Blachowicz will be looking to rebound from his loss at UFC 268. He has been rumored to be taking on Anthony Smith in early 2022.
