In yet another example of the lucrative contracts during this free agency offseason, Arizona Central's Paul Coro reported that ex-Washington Wizards swingman Jared Dudley announced his return to Phoenix for next season's campaign.

Dudley will become the Suns first pickup in 2016 offseason free agency, costing Phoenix a whopping $30 million guaranteed over three years. The small forward/shooting guard spent half of his career in Phoenix, playing his last season for the Suns during the 12-13 campaign.

Despite starting only 41 games for the Wizards last season, Dudley had a decent season in the nation's capital. He earned the eight best field goal percentage from the 3-point line in the regular season and averaged 7.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. For the disappointing Suns, any veteran in this free agency seemed to be an upgrade from their current squad.

The 10-year veteran played extreme roles for the Wizards, even spending some time at center in small-ball lineups helping a stacked Wizards' backcourt. Dudley proved last season that he can stretch defenses as a shooting big man, which the Suns will hope complement young star guard Devin Booker and his backcourt pairing, Brandon Knight.

Dudley has always had an affinity to his old club, where he refined his talents during his previous tenure in Phoenix. Under head coach of the time Alvin Gentry, Dudley played an integral part of the Suns' 2010 Western Conference Finals roster, averaging double digit totals in points per game three years in a row in Phoenix.

In celebration of his return to Arizona and definitely his $30 million guaranteed cash, Dudley tweeted the following:
