Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. go way back, rooming together as teammates at LSU. So, it should surprise nobody that Landry plans to be Odell's best man for his upcoming wedding… to a kicking net.

Beckham's antics on the sidelines and after the whistle are well-documented. Rather than becoming upset by the coverage of his actions, Odell made light of them by mock-proposing to the kicking net that he trampled over a couple weeks prior.

Now, with the wedding apparently coming up soon, Landry is taking full command of his role as the best man.

From ESPN's James Walker:

“I’m the best man,” Landry said laughing. “I got the ring and everything. I can’t show you all right now, but you all will get some invites, too. You all are getting invited. We’ll have media there.”

Odell's relationship with the kicking net was in danger earlier this season. Beckham was frustrated with his performance against the Redskins, and decided to take it out on the net. But, when he struck the inanimate object, it struck back, hitting him in the face on the recoil.

Things have turned around obviously, considering the wedding is right over the horizon.

On a more serious note, Landry is just happy to see his good friend enjoying himself on the field once again:

“I just want him to be happy,” Landry said. “I want him to have as much fun as he possibly can have. If he’s doing that, I’m happy for him.”
