Boston Celtics fans will be encouraged by the way in which their newly drafted forward Jaylen Brown is preparing for his first year in the league.

The NBA preseason is around a month away but the grind has already started for the Georgia native. ON Twitter, he shared footage of him working out on a beach with none other than Chicago Bulls star, Jimmy Butler.

This summer, many Celtics fans hoped that the organization would be able to put together a trade that brought Butler to Beantown, but it seems as though these videos are the closest thing they’ll see to them teaming up for the foreseeable future. Either way, it can only be a positive thing for Brown to be surrounding himself with hardworking, elite-level players who can have a positive influence on him before he begins his next chapter.

Butler also shared the footage on his Instagram page, including the hashtag #imcomingforyoualsojaecrowder – a playful warning to his fellow Marquette alumna.

As though he was directly responding to Butler’s upload, Jaylen Brown's new teammate Jae Crowder also shared a video shortly after of himself putting in work to ensure he is ready for the forthcoming campaign.

It’s nice to see that even though it’s the beginning of September, NBA players already have their competitive juices flowing.
