There is a historic rivalry that runs deep between the two NBA franchises that include numerous meetings in the NBA Finals. It has created a deep-rooted hatred on both sides that still exists to a smaller degree today.

The fact that Tatum is fully aware of the standing rivalry between the two organizations shows that he understands what it means to play in Boston before he has even begun his rookie campaign.

At the same time, this is just evidence of the tremendous level of impact that Kobe Bryant has had on the game. This current and next generation of NBA players grew up idolizing Bryant and have attempted to pattern parts of their game after him. In many ways, he has become their version of Michael Jordan given that they grew up watching him in their youth.

All in all, Tatum sounds and looks ready to fully take on everything that comes with being a Celtic.
