Titled to embody Mitchell’s Determination Over Negativity and his nickname “Spida”, the shoe draws inspiration from a classic comic book character and single issue numbers.

Initial reports seem to indicate that Mitchell's new shoe will debut in a red and blue colorway, which is likely an homage to Marvel’s Spider-Man.

The finer details of Mitchell's new kicks are still a bit vague, but there is a good chance they will utilize adidas' Bounce cushioning technology. Mitchell also made it clear he wanted his shoe to be affordable, so the price point is rumored to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $100.

According to weartesters, Mitchell's signature shoe will debut on July 5, just a few days after the debut of “Spider-Man: Far from Home.”

Mitchell has established himself as the primary option for the Jazz, and his popularity continues to grow. The former University of Louisville standout made 77 appearances with the Jazz during their 2018-19 regular season campaign (all starts), racking up averages of 23.8 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the field (36.2 percent from beyond the arc), 4.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 33.7 minutes per outing.

It seems fitting for Mitchell to have his own shoe. Be sure to keep your browsers locked on ClutchPoints for more updates on this topic as they become available.
