Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell wants his teammates to trust the organization ahead of a big summer that could see some familiar faces leave.

Veteran point guard Ricky Rubio is set to be a free agent and is expected to leave this summer. Derrick Favors, meanwhile, is on a non-guaranteed contract, which puts his future with the team in limbo.

Mitchell acknowledges there could be big changes coming for the Jazz, but he calls for his fellow teammates to believe on what the front office is doing. He also pointed out that they should focus on their job this offseason, which is to get better.

“I think the biggest thing is just trusting what management does. Obviously, a lot of this stuff is out of my control personally. The biggest thing for us is to just get better and improve,” Mitchell told Michael Scotto of the Athletic.

“Obviously, we didn't have the end of the season we wanted to, but we had a 50-win season. I think for us, the biggest thing is just to continue to get better and understand that this is a process.”

The Jazz certainly have plenty of decisions to make this summer. Besides Rubio,  Thabo Sefolosha and Ekpe Udoh will also enter free agency.

As for Mitchell, he enters his third NBA season. He had a phenomenal sophomore year in the NBA, averaging 23.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

Will the Jazz management make wholesale changes? It's hard to imagine they will considering their successful 2018-19 campaign. Whatever the higher-ups decide, Donovan Mitchell has their back.
