Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is raring to play in the NBA restart, but he admitted that he is currently facing some challenges inside the “bubble” at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The 23-year-old guard is slowly getting acclimated to his new conditions, which involves odd practice times and plenty of idle time.

Like most of the young stars of this generation, the Jazz star was a product of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball during his early years. The whole dorm room vibes brought upon by the NBA's new “bubble” format certainly brings players back to their earliest memories of competitive basketball.

Aside from sharing all four playing courts once the action resumes on July 30, teams are also taking turns using facilities for practices. Schedules might be tricky for some, considering there are 22 teams returning for the bubble.

The food, meanwhile, is another issue, considering most stars have begun complaining about the hotel's current meal plan for players. Donovan Mitchell does have a point when it comes to dietary concerns since players will have more idle times inside the Disney premises.

With leisure activities limited, players must avoid the temptation of overindulging in unhealthy snacks that may affect their conditioning.

Aside from these concerns, all teams must also be on a constant lookout for the possibility of contracting COVID-19. Mitchell, of course, is no stranger to the virus after testing positive last March alongside Jazz teammate Rudy Gobert.

The pair of All-Stars have since made complete recoveries and are now ready to lead the Jazz to a strong playoff push.
