The Utah Jazz haven't given their fans much to cheer about of late. Donovan Mitchell and Co. have underperformed against a Dallas Mavericks side without Luka Doncic and now trail 1-2.

But beyond the two-games-to-one deficit, the one-court product has just been ghastly to witness by the eye-test alone. The effort and intensity has sorely lacked in all three games as they've gotten thoroughly outplayed by Jalen Brunson, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Maxi Kleber.

While splitting the first two games in Dallas was an acceptable outcome, especially with Brunson going off for 41 points in Game 2, Game 3 should have been an easy win on their home floor. Instead, they went down by 17 at halftime, which earned them a outpouring of boos and early exits from Jazz fans. Utah was able to make a comeback and cut the lead to one, but were booed once again as the deficit ballooned in the final minutes.

Donovan Mitchell was asked about the boos after the game. The Jazz star took the hit in stride, knowing that there are expectations from Jazz fans that they simply aren't meeting.

Via Eric Walden:

“It’s part of the game. And we weren’t playing well. We got booed. I booed the hell out of the TV when I was a fan,” Donovan Mitchell noted afterward when asked for his reaction to the fans’ reaction. “It’s not personal. There’s an expectation around us, it’s no secret about that — everybody expects us to take care of business, and we didn’t in the first half. So we got booed.”

The series is far from over at 1-2, but the Jazz need to get their act together in a hurry. A Game 4 win should  be a foregone conclusion for a locked-in Jazz side if Luka Doncic doesn't play. A Game 4 loss would be utterly soul-crushing. The boos for that scenario would undoubtedly rain louder than in Game 3.
