The Utah Jazz are gearing up for a second-round matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers and could be without veteran point guard Mike Conley. As for Jazz All-Star Donovan Mitchell, his health is progressing at the perfect time as the Jazz aim to keep pace with their NBA-best record.

Mitchell missed a ton of time down the stretch with the ankle injury and was forced to miss Game 1 in the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, his ankle feels great and the Jazz will need a healthy and effective Mitchell against a tough Clippers team who are coming off of a daunting seven-game series against the Dallas Mavericks.

The good news is that the Jazz will have been off for six days before starting the series against the Clippers. With Conley's status up in the air, the Jazz will wait patiently and hope that he can suit up.

Mitchell dropped 25 points or more in every game he played against Memphis and is one of the key pieces that will need to perform if they want to find a way to beat the Clippers. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George– among others– pose some serious issues for any team in the league.

On the other hand, the duo of Mitchell and Rudy Gobert will be tough to deal with. Game 1 between the Jazz and the Clippers is on Tuesday.
