Just in his first year, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell already established his basketball talent and IQ. He is definitely one of the big talents to look out for. Recently, Mitchell revealed that he intends to take his game to the next level by watching all 97 games from the season prior to the September workout.

Mitchell said at a press conference:

“I'd probably watch all 97 games all over again before we get back. Just watch and just understand what I could do to get better.”

Donovan Mitchell, the 13th overall pick, logged in 20.5 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals. He was also a marksman from downtown, nailing 2.4 per contest. Come playoff time, the rookie played like a veteran. In 11 games, he chipped in 24.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. He played 37.4 minutes per game.

The Jazz might have fallen short, but Mitchell has firmly established himself as one of the best rookies in NBA history. Now the next step for him is to follow thru on his superb first season.

Jazz assistant coach Johnnie Bryant opened up about Mitchell, praising his fearlessness in trying out new things. Per Tim MacMahon of ESPN:

“One thing about him is he's not afraid to try things and really apply it. That's something that's rare. A lot of guys want to stay in their comfort zone.”
