The 2021 NBA All-Star Draft that took place on Thursday concluded with the two All-Stars from the Utah Jazz being taken with the final two picks. After LeBron James explained why members of the Jazz were selected last, Donovan Mitchell has responded to the awkward situation.

In the final round of the draft, Kevin Durant decided to select Mitchell as the final member of his roster. On the other hand, James took Rudy Gobert, saying that the only reason why both of them were the final two picks was due to no one using the Jazz in video games over the years.

The decision to leave Mitchell and Gobert as the last two players in the draft sparked a conversation on social media. While many were up in arms about LeBron's Utah diss, Mitchell just seems content with having an opportunity to be in the All-Star Game.

Mitchell is amidst a career year with the Jazz. He's recording 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game, which are all career-high marks for the Louisville product. Above all, Utah holds the best record in the NBA at 27-9, putting them two and a half games ahead of the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference.

Despite the Jazz showing success thus far, people are hesitant to call them a legitimate title contender. Regardless of what fans, analysts, and even other players say, Mitchell, Gobert, and now Mike Conley are all prepared to show that Utah deserves more respect moving forward.
