Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell sent out a tweet to wish Kyle Kuzma a happy birthday on Wednesday afternoon. And while it was a friendly gesture, Mitchell wanted to make it clear that he has no intention of taking his talents to Hollywood.

Mitchell and Kuzma have interacted on social media in the past, posting friendly banter back and forth. When Kuzma dropped 23 points in the first quarter against the Philadelphia 76ers last season, Mitchell had to send him a compliment.

Mitchell is coming off of a fine season with the Jazz. The former University of Louisville standout made 77 appearances during the 2018-19 regular season, racking up averages of 23.8 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the field (36.2 percent from beyond the arc), 4.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 33.7 minutes per outing.

The Jazz went on to finish with a 50-32 overall record, earning the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Unfortunately, though, Utah was defeated by the Houston Rockets in the first round, 4-1.

Though they had postseason aspirations, Kuzma and the Lakers finished the regular season with a disappointing 37-45 overall record, which left the team out of playoff contention. Injuries played a role in their absence, including a 17-game stint without LeBron James due to groin injury.
