While the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Utah Jazz on Friday, they learned a hard lesson: never, ever give space to Donovan Mitchell.

Midway through the fourth quarter and the Clippers leading 94-90, Mitchell quickly cut the lead with a massive dunk. Leavingย  his defender in the dust, Spida found a driving lane and took advantage, as he quickly soared to throw down the dunk with authority.

Perhaps motivated that the Jazz were trailing at the time, Mitchell took it all out on the rim with his powerful slam. In fact, a closer look at his dunk showed Donovan's face full of intensity.

Now that's anger right there!

Unfortunately for Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz, they saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end after the Clippers went away with a 116-112 victory.

Mitchell finished with a game-high 35 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals on 44.4 percent shooting. However, Rudy Gobert failed to impact the game like he did in their meeting with the Clippers last Wednesday, finishing only with eight points this time around. The Frenchman did have 15 boards and three blocks for the Jazz, though.

As for the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard led the way with 29 points on top of five rebounds and four assists. All-Star running mate Paul George, meanwhile, contributed 15 points.

While it is unfortunate for the Jazz to lose, it shouldn't be a cause of concern for the team. After all, they still have the top record in the West and the NBA and a superstar in Mitchell.
