After an expletive-filled tirade after Game 4 Donovan Mitchell is walking back some of the comments he said about James Harden.

While walking to the locker room after the loss Mitchell can be seen saying “If that's what he needs to win f—ing MVP, f— it.” Mitchell and Utah Jazz were frustrated by some of the foul calls that Harden was receiving, something that seems to be a common theme around the NBA. Before Game 4 Mitchell apologized for the comments and said he regrets what was said.
“Obviously he's the MVP. There's no doubt about that,” Mitchell said via ESPN. “I'm pretty sure we've all said things in the heat of the moment when you get upset. It was more so just about myself. You try so hard to fight back and what we did. I'm definitely upset that it came out that way, but you can't do anything about it. I understand that there are cameras everywhere. I'm getting used to that. But like I said, he is the MVP, rightfully so.”
Mitchell also said his focus is on just playing basketball, and not about what the refs are and are not calling.
“I'm really focused on just going out here and seeing what we can do for Game 5 and not really complaining about the calls,” Mitchell said. “That's not who I am.”
Mitchell and the Jazz have their backs against the wall as they try to force a Game 6 and get the series back to Salt Lake City. Ricky Rubio and Dante Exum will both miss Game 5 with injuries.
