The Utah Jazz will have another Wade as part of their organization. Dwyane Wade is already a part-owner of the team and it appears that’s potentially helped his son, Zaire, land a G-League contract with Utah. Via Shams Charania:

The Salt Lake City Stars, the affiliate of the Jazz, will likely be Zaire’s next destination. The youngster, who was in the class of 2021, had several college offers from smaller schools, such as DePaul, South Carolina, and Toledo.

Per 247 Sports, Wade was only a three-star recruit coming out of high school. He played his junior season at Sierra Canyon alongside LeBron James’ son Bronny, but eventually moved onto Brewster Academy in New Hampshire for his senior year. However, he suffered an injury in January and missed most of the season.

Considering he wasn’t highly touted at the amateur level, it’s unlikely he will have much of a role with the Jazz’s G-League team. But, given who his father is, Wade will get a chance to prove himself. He isn’t huge at 6 foot 2, but the 19-year-old is an explosive guard who can shoot it efficiently from deep and facilitate. There will certainly be an adjustment period for Zaire Wade, but he has potential. It will be interesting to see how he does in the Jazz organization.
