Dwyane Wade had a strong relationship with David Fizdale dating back to their Miami Heat days, and so when the Utah Jazz hired the veteran coach to be their associate GM, the NBA icon couldn't be any happier.

On Twitter, Wade shared how lucky the Jazz are to land a brilliant mind such as Fizdale. The Jazz minority owner showed his excitement with the hire as well, especially with the position set to play a critical role in elevating the franchise this offseason.

David Fizdale served as an assistant for the Heat from 2008 to 2016, during which he formed a great bond with Dwyane Wade. The 48-year-old was a key member of Erik Spoelstra's coaching staff that won back-to-back NBA titles in 2012 and 2013.

For what it's worth, it's not only Wade who was ecstatic with the Jazz hire. Even Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James couldn't hide how hyped he was with the news, especially since he did have Fizz during his Heat days and last season with the Lakers.

The Jazz are making key changes in their front office and coaching staff, recently hiring Boston Celtics assistant Will Hardy to be their head coach. The team has suffered years of playoff disappointments, and hopes are high that their recent moves could help them take the team to that next level.
