The Utah Jazz secured a 112-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 on Tuesday, much in part to the sheer dominance of Donovan Mitchell. He dropped 45 points in the win and proved to be too much for the LA defense.

A moment that went viral during the contest was part Jazz owner and NBA legend Dwayne Wade coaching up Mitchell from the sidelines. Reporters, of course, asked Quin Snyder on his thoughts about it. His answer was rather refreshing, too.

That's a solid response. After all, D-Wade did play shooting guard too and has a wealth of knowledge from his 17 years in the Association. The advice he was giving the Jazz star was probably very beneficial.

However, it's not like Spida needed it. The Clippers tried switching numerous defenders on him, but the former Louisville star was having his way with every single one. Mitchell was 6 for 15 from deep and was getting to the bucket with ease. Even Kawhi Leonard couldn't slow him down in the limited time he was tasked with guarding Mitchell.

Dwayne Wade and Donovan Mitchell have apparently built quite the relationship since the latter came into the league back in 2017/18, just a year before Wade retired. The Jazz guard has reached out for advice to the Miami Heat icon on numerous occasions and sees him as a mentor.

Maybe, we'll see more moments like this between the two as the series goes on, especially, if Mitchell does hit a rough patch and needs some coaching up from someone not named Quin Snyder.
