Jimmy Butler's lashing out at his teammates and the Minnesota Timberwolves staff is making headlines across the NBA and his former college teammate, Jae Crowder is reacting to the news. The Utah Jazz forward took to Twitter to blame their former head coach for Butler's outburst.

Buzz Williams coached Butler and Crowd at Marquette between 2008 and 2011. Williams is known for his fiery sideline demeanor and his high intensity — usually highlighted by his sweat-drenched suits.

This is exactly the type of player that Butler is and it's the reason he lashed out at his teammates in practice. Butler is highly competitive and it's no wonder that he was successful at Marquette under Buzz Williams.

The Butler-Crowder teams at Marquette advanced to the NCAA Tournament all three seasons they played together. The furthest they advanced in the tournament was the Sweet 16 in 2011. Butler left for the NBA after that season and Crowder departed the following year.

The situation in Minnesota is still in flux. Butler is clear about wanting out, but now he's back in the building and he's not holding anything back. There's a decent chance that he starts the season in a Timberwolves uniform. Butler's intensity clearly shook up Minnesota's practice and got the attention of the NBA world.

Eventually, this will come to a conclusion, but the end is still nowhere in sight. It's tremendous entertainment for the fans, but it can't be easy to be on the Minnesota payroll right now.
