It’s a good time to be Utah Jazz swingman Joe Ingles, as he’s coming off the best season of his career. The rigorous demands of the NBA regular season is less than two months away, and despite players working hard to be in shape for training camp, Ingles and Jazz teammate Royce O’Neale also have the opportunity to kick their feet up and play video games. The hottest game out is NBA 2K19, and player ratings are being released every day.

Recently, O’Neale’s was released and Ingles roasted him for it.

To his credit, O’Neale took it in his stride and will use it as motivation to continue to get better next season. Ingles was laughing, but his rating wasn’t much high at 79, and he’ll too be looking to increase that come next season’s end.

The Jazz are coming off an incredible season under Quin Snyder, where they definitely over achieved led by dynamic rookie Donovan Mitchell. The explosive scorer set the league on fire and was a perfect cog they needed for their largely defensive oriented machine. Ricky Rubio and Rudy Gobert were also fantastic, as Rubio he ran the offense to perfection in Snyder’s system, and Gobert continued to be one of the premier defensive big men in the league.

The Jazz were exciting as they come, and Ingles and O’Neale were a vital part of that. Ingles more so, as the Australian-born utility transformed into one of more reliable “3 & D” players in the association. He was steady for the Jazz all season, but really shone as he consistently outplayed Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George in the Western Conference First Round en route to their elimination at the hands of the underdog Jazz.

Ingles’ all-round capabilities really helped the Jazz, as he averaged 11.5 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game and 4.8 assists per game. He also shot a stellar 46.7% from the field and a sizzling 44% from three-point range.

His consistently accurate production from beyond the arc saw him rank fourth in the entire league in three-point percentage and the Jazz relied on his ability to stretch the floor on a nightly basis.

Ingles and company will look to cement themselves in the top four teams in the West this upcoming season.
