The Utah Jazz will be without point guard Mike Conley on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Conley suffered a hamstring injury on Monday versus the Philadelphia 76ers and was forced to leave the game.

The Jazz are 12-9 on the season. They are in the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings.

In his first season with the Jazz, Conley is averaging 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 21 games. The lefty is shooting just 36.9 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from beyond the arc and 79.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Jazz need two things from Conley: One, he has to get healthy. And two, the guard has to start playing better if Utah wants to climb up in the West standings. Conley is too smart of a player to shoot that poorly from the floor. The Jazz need the Mike Conley who put up 21.1 points per game last season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Utah is currently on a two-game losing streak. The Jazz have already lost once to the Lakers this season. That was back on Oct. 25 at Staples Center.

With Conley out on Wednesday, Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell will have to carry the load on offense. Mitchell is averaging 24.5 points through 21 games.
