Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley says his return to FedEx Forum to face the Memphis Grizzlies next season will be “one of the tougher moments of my career.”

The Grizzlies selected Conley with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Ohio State University. The veteran guard is Memphis’ all-time leader in games played, assists, steals and points.

Memphis traded Conley to the Jazz this summer, but he's always going to be loved by Grizzlies fans.

“Man, whenever that day comes, I honestly don’t know how I’ll feel,” Conley told Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype. “I don’t even know where the visiting locker room is! I’ve really never been over there! I’ll have a lot of emotions, I’m sure. I’m not a guy who shows a lot of emotion on the court – good or bad – but it’ll probably be one of the tougher moments of my career.”

Mike Conley finished his Grizzlies career with averages of 14.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 44.1 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from beyond the arc and 81.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Grizzlies owner Robert Pera said in a press release the franchise will retire Conley’s No. 11 jersey one day. You can expect Memphis fans to give Conley a rousing standing ovation when the Jazz come to town.
