Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley is expected to suit up for Game 3 of the team's first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Conley missed the first two games after leaving the NBA bubble for the birth of his son.

Conley returned on Tuesday, the night after his son Elijah was born, allowing for a four-day quarantine period that if successful, could pen him in the starting lineup alongside Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz lost a high-octane Game 1 after fireworks from Mitchell and Jamal Murray, but ran away with Game 2 on Wednesday, beating the Nuggets by 19 on Wednesday.

Utah will need Conley's veteran leadership and experience throughout the playoffs and the Jazz could use acclimating him this early in the series.

The Nuggets have been shorthanded as well with no Will Barton or Gary Harris during this stretch, but will have to make due with the tandem of Murray and Nikola Jokic for the bulk of the series.

In six games since the restart, Conley has been a powerful offensive weapon, scoring 20 or more points in four of those games, including a 20-point, five-rebound, five-assists performance in a 134-132 overtime loss to the Nuggets.

Conley played 44 minutes that game and consequently only played 16 in the next as coach Quin Snyder hoped to save his legs for playoff games.
