The Utah Jazz was stunned on Sunday as head coach Quin Snyder decided to step down after eight years in charge where he guided them to the playoffs in six straight seasons. On Monday, Snyder sat down with the media to discuss his decision to move on and what the future holds for his next possible job in the NBA.

Asked what's next for him after resigning from the Jazz, Quin Snyder said he's “been so consumed with this decision” that he hasn't “really thought about that.” In other words, he didn't rule out coaching next season.

Snyder isn't thinking about it right now, but there is a very good chance he lands another HC job soon. The San Antonio Spurs have always been considered a possible destination for him once Gregg Popovich retires, but it's unknown if that will happen this summer or not.

During his time with the Jazz, Snyder compiled an impressive 372-264 record and helped Utah go an NBA-best 52-20 in 2020-21. While they failed to get over that playoff hump, Quin Snyder has proven that the is a top-tier coach at the NBA level. His departure is also not exactly great news for the future of Donovan Mitchell either, who is reportedly uneasy about the direction of the franchise after Snyder played a key part in his development.

Some uncertain times ahead for the Jazz.
