The Utah Jazz have been building something exciting for the past couple of years. The acquisition of Donovan Mitchell sped up the rebuild process, making the Jazz a legitimate playoff team. With Mike Conley now in the fold, some even believe Utah can win it all.

Head coach Quin Snyder certainly thinks the Jazz have a shot at making a deep playoff run. However, he is careful when it comes to declaring his team a championship-caliber one.

Sam Amick of The Athletic sat down with the Jazz head coach and asked him myriad things about basketball. Amick asked Snyder about the team's chances of winning the championship, and the coach gave an interesting response:

“Well, I think our players are enthusiastic about the opportunity. I think our focus, with a new mix, it’s going to be important for us to learn about each other, to begin to know each other collectively and how guys interact and how they play. And then from our standpoint as a staff, it’s what level do you want to adapt, and what areas? How can you maximize what we now have?

On a core level, I don’t think it changes our identity, and how we play and what’s important to us. But, certainly, the question is kind of, How quickly do you jell, and how does the team come together? But I think we have a group that, I think, knows the importance of that and understands that can be a strength of ours and working towards that. As far as expectations and whatever the end goal is, certainly you want to win, you know? And I think we’re a team that is going to learn how to win with this group, (but) win at what level?

For us, we want to maximize. I guess that’s the (goal), just to max out what we have and see where that takes us.”

The Jazz certainly have a ton of talent, but it will still be a struggle to come out on top of a competitive Western Conference. However, this team will not go down without a fight, and Utah shouldn't be counted out.
