Sports fans love it when top athletes of different sports show camaraderie and support each other. The latest duo to jump on this wholesome trend is Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley and Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell.
During a recent press conference for the Rams, the former Georgia Bulldog surprised everyone in the press room with the Mitchell jersey on. He answered every Rams-related queries with the Jazz logo and Mitchell's number prominent on his chest.
The media present was quick to ask the 25-year-old NFL star what is the connection between the two stars. He gave a very quotable answer that made hearts in the press room melt:

He elaborated that he got in touch with Mitchell and praised his on-court performances as well as his social media acumen. The room was in a good mood by the time they got into the meat of the press conference.
It's obvious that Gurley is giving his support to his newfound friend, who is set to represent the USA in the FIBA World Cup in China. The obvious absence of stars in the team raises eyebrows among casual and hardcore hoops fans. With that being said, Donovan definitely appreciates Gurley's gesture.
Who wouldn't want to feel this man's support after all? He is a superb athlete who notched over 1200 rushing yards in his last two seasons. He is a three-time Pro Bowl pick and a part of the 2017 and 2019 First-Team All-Pro. Gurley's stature in his sport perfectly matches Mitchell's, especially with his overall efficiency on the hardwood steadily increasing.
There should be no surprises if Jazz fans suddenly become Rams fans — or at least Gurley fans — due to this interaction. The media and the supporters will be looking forward to more positive interactions between these two stars.
