The Utah Jazz host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday and Jazz starting point guard Ricky Rubio will return to the lineup after missing six consecutive games.

Ricky Rubio suffered a thigh injury on Jan. 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks and has been out ever since. The Jazz went 6-0 without Rubio and enter Monday with an overall record of 26-21, good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings.

In his second season with the Jazz, Ricky Rubio is averaging 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. The 28-year-old is shooting 40.0 percent from the field, 33.7 percent from beyond the arc and 84.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Jazz head coach Quin Snyder told local reporters after shootaround that Rubio will be on a soft minutes restriction as he makes his way back from the thigh ailment.

Utah second-year shooting guard Donovan Mitchell has been on a tear lately in the absence of Rubio. Mitchell is averaging 30.0 points per game over his last six contests. He was the primary ball-handler while Rubio was sidelined.

Ricky Rubio is one of the best passers in the NBA and he makes Mitchell's life easier. He will undoubtedly be rusty in his first game back, but the Jazz have to be thrilled to have their floor general back in the starting lineup.
