Just about everyone was watching Canelo Alvarez take down Gennady Golovkin last night, including Rudy Gobert and Evan Fournier. Gobert took to Twitter to decry the judges' decision in favor of Alvarez. Gobert thought GGG edged out Canelo, but he still thought the bout was a classic.

Magic swingman Evan Fournier and fellow Frenchman, Evan Fournier responded to Gobert's assessment of the fight. Fournier roasted Gobert for his boxing knowledge — or lack thereof.

Rudy Gobert wouldn't let Fournier get the last word, though. The Jazz big man challenged Fournier to put his money where his mouth is, literally. Gobert said he was willing to put $1 million down on a fight between the two.

Unfortunately, a bout between Gobert and Fournier is unlikely. These just some light-hearted jabs between the two over social media, but they would never get in the ring to exchange literal jabs.

The two aren't even in the same weight class, so a match between the 7-foot-1 Gobert and 6-foot-7 Fournier wouldn't even make sense. The height disparity is one thing. Gobert would certainly have the reach advantage.

More importantly, Gobert has approximately 40 pounds on Fournier. Gobert is undoubtedly a heavyweight, but Fournier probably falls into the category of a cruiserweight or light heavyweight.

While fans won't get the chance to see Gobert and Fournier meet in the ring, the pair will square off in Mexico City on Dec. 15 when the Jazz play the Magic. Don't expect to see any punches thrown in the meeting, but light-hearted jabs seem to be in play.
