Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was all praises for his teammate Joe Ingles on Friday after he surpassed one of the most beloved figures in Salt Lake City, John Stockton. Jingles hit a wide-open triple in the first quarter of the Jazz's hosting of the Dallas Mavericks at Vivint Smart Home Arena, which made him the franchise leader for most threes made.

After the game, Gobert re-tweeted the clip of the Australian's personal milestone and dropped a popular LeBron James line as the caption.

Entering Friday's game, Joe Ingles only needed two 3-pointers to surpass John Stockton's record of 845 made threes. He accomplished that feat in the first period in the Jazz's 120-101 blowout victory over the Mavs. It is worth noting that Stockton made all those threes in a total of 1,504 career games. Ingles, meanwhile, eclipsed the legendary point guard's feat while playing less than 500 games.

The 33-year-old swingman, of course, is considered as the league's modern-day Ironman, so he will definitely have more opportunities to stretch that record further. Ingles has indeed become a vital cog for the Jazz's rise in recent seasons. He is norming 10.9 points on 51.7 percent shooting from the field and 45 percent from deep in 15 games for the Jazz this year.

He put up 10 points, four boards, four assists, and one steal to help the red-hot Jazz extend their NBA-best 11-game winning streak. Rudy Gobert, on the other hand, also had a fine performance against the Mavs, pitching in a strong double-double effort of 17 points and 12 rebounds along with two rejections.
